Francis Robert “Bob” Timmons, 78, of Altona, passed away on April 23, at home with his loving family by his side.
He was born November 18, 1945 in Champlain to his parents, Frank and Georgette (Roberts) Timmons.
In his early years, Bob served in the Army. After that, he started his own logging company, Timmons Logging, in Altona. He took pride in his work and enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. In retirement, his hobbies included planting a huge garden annually and feeding birds, but he especially loved caring for his cats. Through the years, he rescued many feral cats and gave them a loving home.
Bob is predeceased by his parents. He is also predeceased by brothers; Danny and Tom Timmons, and sisters; Rita McCrea, Joanie Martin and Sandy Timmons.
Bob is survived by his wife, Shirley Timmons. He is also survived by his brothers; Butch, Pete, and Mickey Timmons, his kids; Pam Blaise and daughter Taylor, Jeff Leber, Kelly (Larry) Miller, Shelly (Eric) Barringer, Kimberly (Mark) Tedford, Bob Timmons, Jr., and Adam Leber and fiancée Lora Lamare.
Bob is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
At Bob's request, there will be no calling hours. The family has asked that donations be made to Animal Welfare & Rescue Services.
