Jody LaBombard Obituary

Jody LaBombard, 53, of Altona, New York,  passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 9th.

 

He was born September 8, 1970 in Malone, New York.  The son of Eugene and Mona(Cassavaw) LaBombard.

 

Jody was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many.

 

In his younger years Jody worked on neighborhood farms, Pactiv and was an avid scrap metal worker. Jody volunteered for the Ellenburg Center Fire Department for several years.  Jody loved to be on his Four-wheeler and snowmobiles.  He shared his love of fishing and hunting with his children.  Jody loved his family and enjoyed every family event.  Laughing, talking and loving everyone. Jody was a jack of all trades and was always willing to jump in whenever someone needed him.

 

Jody is predeceased by his parents, Mona and Eugene LaBombard.

 

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Melody (Vincent) LaBombard, their three children Victoria, Dawson and Madison. His first wife Vickie (Nichols) LaBombard, their children Heather LaBombard and companion Patrick LaBarge, Scarlet Stevens, her husband Rene Stevens, Robert LaBombard, his companion Tiffany Welch,Damian LaBombard and his companion Jenilee Gillespie, Vickie’s companion Ronald Miller.

 

 Jody had 10 beautiful grandchildren, Tobias, Erica, John, Zephyr, Garrett, Kayden, Ashten, Maribelle, Aizen and Laxus.

 

Jody leaves behind five siblings who loved him very much,  Brian LaBombard and his wife Barbara, Matthew LaBombard and companion Jessica Towsley, Cindy LaBombard-Jock and her husband Jeff, Nathan LaBombard and his wife Marie, Emily LaBombard and her wife Brianne.

 

Jody was cherished by his in-laws Jerry and Loretta Vincent, Jody considered Ian Winner to be like a son to him and Ian was a great friend to Jody in return.

 

Calling hours will be Friday, April 12th from 4-6 p.m. at Ross Funeral Home in Mooers. A mass of christian burial will take place on Saturday, April 13th at 11 a.m. at St, Edmund’s church in Ellenburg Depot. Donations in Jody’s memory can be made to his family, The Ellenburg Center Fire Department or St. Edmund’s Church.

 

Reception will follow at the Ellenburg Center Fire Station.  Family and friends are encouraged to attend and share stories, memories and most of all the love of family.
