Raymond A. Cayea

Raymond A. Cayea, 72, of Rouses Point passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at his home.

He was born January 9, 1952 in Plattsburgh, son of Richard and Lillian Cayea. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Rouses Point. He enjoyed fishing, hunting with his good friends and he was also an avid NASCAR fan.

He enjoyed working as a Release Analyst at the UPS Brokerage for the 21 years he was there.

Raymond is predeceased by his parents, his wife, Suzanne Cayea, and one daughter, Lisa Cayea.

Left to cherish memories of Raymond are two sons, Scott Cayea and his companion, Rachel Hunt of Rouses Point, Randy Cayea and his wife Jamie of Gainesville, Virginia; two daughters, Shelley LaPier and her husband Alan of Mooers, Cheryl Seymour and her husband Justin of Rouses Point; sisters, Jane Mayo, Loretta Shavel, Mickey (David) Pickering, Linda Long and Judy (Rick) Bombardier; brother, Kevin (Lauria) Cayea; eight grandchildren, Amanda Cayea, Irelyn Hunt, Chelsey Menard, Hannah LaPier, Alivia LaPier, Katelyn (Alex) Gonyo, Madison Cayea and Gordon Cayea. He is further survived by several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his sidekick, his beloved dog, Josie.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, March 25, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Church in Rouses Point.

There will be a reception at Latitude 45 following the funeral Mass.
