It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Monica Christiansen, a beloved matriarch and cherished friend, who left this world on February 11, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on April 27, 1941, Monica exemplified a life filled with love, adventure, and a passion for the simple joys of life.
Monica lived in Rouses Point, NY and was a self-employed owner of the Am-Can Motel there as well, where her warmth and hospitality left a lasting impression on everyone who crossed her threshold. Her life was a vibrant tapestry of experiences, woven together by her love for coloring, cooking, and traveling across the country in her RV, which allowed her to forge lasting memories with family and friends along the way.
Monica was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Christiansen, and her daughter, Carolann Peters.
Monica will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Christiansen Page, Thomas and Erin Page, Dallas and Angelica Page, as well as several great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy and a sense of purpose. Monica's legacy will forever be carried on by her loving family and friends who cherished her.
As we reflect on Monica's life, we remember her radiant smile, her boundless generosity, and her adventurous spirit, which inspired those around her to embrace life fully. Her light will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her. Rest in peace, Monica. You will be dearly missed.
