It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Joseph Breyette Jr., a beloved husband, father, son, and brother, who left this world on February 22, 2026, at the age of 59. Born on July 28, 1966, in Plattsburgh, NY, Robert lived a life full of adventure and passion, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him.
Robert, a proud resident of Mooers, NY, had an unwavering dedication to his work as a self-employed contractor, specializing in painting with the company B+B Painting in Amenia, NY. Robert's craftsmanship and work ethic spoke volumes, reflecting his commitment to his trade and his clients.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Robert was a man of the outdoors. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life—hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling—activities that brought him closer to nature and provided moments of blissful retreat from the hustle of daily life. Those who had the pleasure of joining him in these pursuits will remember his infectious enthusiasm and zest for adventure.
Robert is survived by his devoted spouse, Cindy Breyette; his loving mother, Dora Breyette; and his cherished sons, Albert and Mike. He leaves behind a vibrant family, including his siblings, Ralph, Joe, Jessie, Paul, Charles Jr., Sherry and April, as well as their spouses; and several grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Each of them carries with them the warmth of Robert's spirit and the love he shared throughout his life.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert Breyette Sr.
A Prayer Service will be held at 3:45 at the Ross Funeral Home in Mooers on Wednesday, February 25. Calling Hours will follow from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
